Tenet Healthcare Corporation has named Tim Adams as chief executive officer of its Texas Region, effective April 6. As CEO of one the company’s largest regions, Adams oversees 22 hospitals and related healthcare services in Dallas, El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, South Texas, East Texas and St. Louis. Adams succeeds Eric Evans, who was named president of hospital operations in March.
Adams joined Tenet in 2012 and most recently led the company’s integration and operations team, where he oversaw the assimilation of new acquisitions and ventures into the company, as well as the hospital business development function.
“Tim is a well-respected leader within our organization who is committed to operational excellence and to positioning our hospitals as leading providers of high-quality, patient-centered care,” said Evans. “His deep experience in hospital operations and business development will serve him well as he supports the continued success of our Texas markets.”
