Tenet has not paid a cash dividend since 1993. Instead, the company reinvests its profits in its hospitals and services. We believe this is the best means to serve our shareholders over the long term.
On March 1, 1995, NME (now Tenet Healthcare Corporation) acquired American Medical Holdings ("AMI"). As result of the acquisition, each share of AMI stock was converted into the right to receive $25.51 per AMI share, $19.00 in cash plus $6.51 of NME stock (0.42 shares x $15.50 per share = $6.51). There is no longer a market for your AMI shares.
The cash and Tenet stock to which you are entitled was turned over to the appropriate state authorities under the abandoned property laws.
Please contact the states in which you resided in prior to 1997.
Alternatively, you can contact our transfer agent, Computershare, as follows:

However, we do recommend keeping records up to date. If you choose to exchange your NME certificates for Tenet certificates, you may do so through Computershare.
