Chris Lynch served as National Partner in Charge of the Financial Services division at KPMG, LLC from 2004 until his retirement in 2007. Prior to that, he held a variety of positions at KPMG during his 29-year tenure, including chair of KPMG’s Americas Financial Services Leadership team and a member of the Global Financial Services Leadership and the U.S. Industries Leadership teams.
He currently serves as an independent director of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a position he has held since July 2009. From 2008 to 2019, he also served as a director of Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), where he was the former Non-Executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Lynch has chaired audit committees of both AIG and Freddie Mac and has relevant committee experience on Risk, Compensation and Nomination and Corporate Governance.
Mr. Lynch is a member of the Advisory Board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and a member of the Audit Committee Chair Advisory Council of the National Association of Corporate Directors. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kansas.
