Marie Quintana, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Marie Quintana serves as executive vice president of marketing and communications for Tenet Healthcare, in which she oversees activities and initiatives in these two functional areas for the Tenet enterprise.



Under Quintana’s leadership, Tenet has activated its first integrated national marketing campaign, which is driving strong results in brand recognition and awareness. She also serves as chair of the Tenet Healthcare Foundation and is a director on the Governing Board of the Detroit Medical Center, which is operated by Tenet.



Before joining Tenet, Quintana spent 14 years at PepsiCo as the senior vice president of sales and marketing. In this role, she led the PepsiCo multicultural business strategy to demonstrate sustainable value to customers and community. She launched the first PepsiCo Multicultural Center of Excellence, developing the marketing, sales and communication strategies for all of PepsiCo’s divisions. As an industry pioneer, Quintana drove the foundation for the PepsiCo ethnic portfolio growth at retail and best in class initiatives, which drove sustainable innovation and created competitive advantage. She developed creative, successful consumer strategies which increased loyalty and strengthened community partnerships with PepsiCo’s customers.



Quintana also served as PepsiCo’s vice president of technology and vice-president of global IT strategy, where she led the technology consolidation and optimization of Quaker/Tropicana/Gatorade/Pepsi/Frito-Lay. She was instrumental in creating the first PepsiCo Shared Services organization.



Quintana is a recognized industry leader, speaker and co-author on consumer-centric multicultural strategies that drive and scale business growth. She co-founded the PepsiCo Women of Color Alliance, which was awarded the Catalyst Award in 2007. She is a past founding board member of the Network of Executive Women.



Quintana has been named one of the Top 50 Hispanic Women in Business by Hispanic Business Magazine, one of the top 5 Latina Executives by Latina Style Magazine and one of the Top 50 Women in Grocery by Progressive Grocer.



She currently serves on the board of directors for Catholic Charities of Dallas.
